Does a thermal break guarantee a specific U-value?
No. A whole-window value depends on the complete frame, glass, spacer, seals, size and calculation or test basis.
Can one test report cover every window size?
Not automatically. Check the tested specimen, method, opening type and differences from the proposed unit.
Should hot-climate projects review SHGC as well as U-value?
Yes. Conductive heat transfer and solar gain are separate design questions that must be coordinated with the glazing route.
