Recommended review approach

Link the guest-room schedule to elevations and room plans. Review opening function before selecting a window, then coordinate glass, screens, shading, furniture and maintenance access. Cavorlen’s 110 casement and 110 three-track references are starting configurations, not automatic hotel-façade approvals. Their common documented 5 + 12A + 5 mm glass build-up does not establish a hotel-room acoustic result. Consider the supplied 40×18 and 40×65 only for interior partitions; they are not façade, fire-rated or security doors by implication.

Performance and package considerations

  • Room-type and exposure matrix: connect each opening mark to room type, floor/elevation, quantity and operation. Visually identical guest rooms facing a road and a sheltered courtyard may have different requirements. Record the responsible designer’s actual brief rather than assigning a noise or wind value from a location label. Identify special-room requirements as explicit exceptions for qualified review.
  • Guest operation: draw the sash, screen, curtain or blind and nearby furniture in use. A hinged window needs its movement envelope; a slider needs a usable opening and track access. Check handle reach and the approved housekeeping/maintenance arrangement. Do not treat an insect screen as fall protection or remove opening restrictions to solve a clearance conflict.
  • Acoustic purchasing: distinguish a glazing rating, a complete-window rating and an installed-room result. Ask the supplier to identify the proposed assembly and applicable evidence, including dimensions and opening type. A double-glazed description or demonstration video does not prove a specified acoustic rating. Keep unresolved evidence visible in the quotation return.
  • Sample-room decisions: review finish, operating sequence, screen removal, handle reach, privacy where relevant and perimeter interfaces. Record exactly which attributes are approved and which still need technical evidence. Showroom movement approval does not close weather or acoustic requirements for every room configuration.
  • Interior partitions: keep 40×18 and 40×65 within their documented interior-use boundary. Review decorative glass under the intended lighting; frosting alone is not guaranteed privacy in every condition. Specify clear passage, track, casing and optional soft close separately so guest and housekeeping expectations appear in the order.
  • Handover and replacement: request component identities and care instructions for the selected hardware and track. Agree access for servicing after finishes and casing are installed. List proposed spares beside the corresponding configuration; do not assume another roller fits or invent a universal spare percentage.
  • Quotation package: send room/elevation schedules, quantities, drawings, finishes, the performance brief and delivery phases. Ask for the base offer, alternatives, exclusions and outstanding decisions in one return. Use the project review form below with a representative room and its exception list before extending the selection across the hotel.

Suitable product routes to compare

Final suitability must be confirmed against the actual drawings, opening schedule and project requirements.

Questions buyers ask

Is one system suitable for every opening in this project type?

No. Opening size, use, exposure, glass, hardware and local requirements must be reviewed mark by mark.

What should be sent for an initial review?

Send elevations, the window and door schedule, quantities, project location and known performance requirements.
