Installation begins before the frame reaches the wall. The opening needs to be measured, the wall condition understood, the correct fixing route selected and every supplied unit checked against its label. Inspect before moving the frame
Check the product model, dimensions, finish, glass and accessories against the approved schedule. Photograph transport damage or broken glass before installation begins.
Measure the opening width and height, check level and plumb, identify load-bearing or lightweight construction and confirm that external waterproofing substrates are ready.

Set, level and fix the frame
Position the frame with an even perimeter movement joint. The supplied guide gives a normal reference gap of 15-20 mm, but the project detail and substrate still govern.
Keep fixing points no more than 600 mm apart and add a fixing within 200 mm of corners. Lightweight walls need suitable load-bearing anchors rather than a generic expansion fixing.
Build a continuous perimeter seal
Fill the frame-to-wall gap fully with appropriate foam rather than packing it solid with cement mortar. Protect the foam from weathering.
Use weather-resistant silicone externally and a compatible neutral sealant internally. Continuous, properly tooled joints help control the path of wind-driven rain.

Adjust operation by opening type
For sliding units, set roller height so panels move smoothly without rocking or binding, then verify locks and soft-close components where supplied.
For casement units, adjust hinges or friction stays so the sash closes evenly against the seals. Keep drainage openings unobstructed and test every lock point and handle.
Protect, hand over and maintain
Remove excess sealant, protect exposed frames from following trades and keep the system dry and undisturbed while sealants cure. The supplied guide uses 24 hours as a general curing caution; the sealant manufacturer’s instructions govern the actual product.
Explain track cleaning, drainage inspection, hardware adjustment and suitable lubrication. Do not hang loads from open sashes or use force when a panel binds.
